Drug Uses

Provera is used for treating certain menstrual problems or uterine problems (eg, abnormal bleeding, endometrial hyperplasia). It can also be used to treat other conditions as your doctor prescribes.

How Taken

Provera may be taken with or without food. Take it at the same time each day, with intervals of no more than 24 hours between doses. Talk to your doctor about the proper dose for you.

Warnings / Precautions

Before Provera, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if you are allergic to medications, foods or other substances if you have diabetes, seizures (eg epilepsy), migraines, asthma, heart, kidney problems or a history of depression if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding. Missed Dose

Side effects

Possible side effects include acne changes in menstrual flow, including bleeding, spotting or missed periods, dizziness, drowsiness, fever, headache, facial flushing, nausea, nervousness, rash, skin pain, insomnia, pain stomach, weakness, weight gain or loss. Contact your doctor if any of these side effects or other adverse effects. Storage
